Hobby Lobby case: What birth control is affected? Seriously, stop being such a God damn liar, Oerdin.
Oh, they also invest heavily in abortion drugs and abortion providers so, yes, they're f'ing hypocrites.

You don't even care. You'd still whine ignorantly about this ruling even if you had no idea about their investments.

      • And, of course, there is the hypocrisy that Hobby Lobby used to provide contraception, the exact same ones they now claim to object to on religious grounds, in their health care plans but suddenly changed their minds when the black guy's health care reform bill got passed. The whole thing is a political farce from start to finish.

There are tons of companies which will divest your funds from anything you want. They specialize in it. Notice how Hobby Lobby doesn't do that? It seems because they love to make money off of the very things they're now lying and claiming they oppose.

            • It's just as likely that they weren't aware that those particular drugs, out of thousands, were covered until the Obama administration loudly proclaimed the mandated benefit. I mean, it's one thing to have them on a long list; it's quite another to have their requirement as front page news.

                Eeyep.

They also mandate a $14 / hour minimum wage for full time employees and $9.50 / hour for part timers.

They have sincerely held religious beliefs after all.

                    • a friend on facebook let out with the following statment:

"And to be clear, they are denying medical coverage of ALL contraceptives for ALL female employees"
i tried to inform her that statement was sensationalist and an overgeneralization at best, and posted that USA Today article.

tell me again what that thing is when someone tells me that my opinion is ****/invalid/irrelevant based solely on my gender? me am not think so smart.

It seems that way to you because you're a paranoid ******. Nobody looks at a list of possible mutual funds and says "I'll pick the one that sells things that are against my religion." Instead you pick the "Conservative Value Fund" or the "Emerging Markets Growth Fund." Assuming that you dial down into the list of companies in the fund, you still probably don't know what they sell or do. There could be dozens of companies, few of which would be household names. Hobby Lobby's owners are not stock pickers, they're busy running a company with thousands of employees. There's no reason to believe that they even knew about the moral contradiction you find so distasteful.

                              • It's certainly possible. But it's not a prerequisite for relief from the Court.
