  • Apolyton's Civilization V - Unit Table

Apolyton Civilization Site released the Civilization V sortable unit table. It can be used for easy reference in and outside Civilization V. The heads of every column can be clicked to sort it alphabetical. More new Civilization V tables are being worked on. Your feedback is welcome!

Doesn't load under Safari (either). Just to let you know.

      Ok, thanks.
Do you know why, by any chance?

It loads fine in FF. But pray tell me, why grey letters on black background?

The panel is certainly not complete. Where is the rest of the units?

The sorting works fine, but it is a little counter-intuitive to get a "|" instead of a mouse pointer or "hand" when holding over the buttons.

The text color is b/c it was created for the Black style. I need to improve it for the white style.

What units are missing? This is loaded from the XML file.
I have excluded the SS and Great People.

Good point about the | instead of a hand on mouse over! Thanks.

A good idea would be for the link in the OP to actually link to the unit table btw, so future visitors don't need to search after it when other exclusives have taken over as top news.

It doesn't load in Chrome btw, had to use IE tab for that to work.

As for missing units, I see that the Giant Death Robot is missing. Also I think the DLC UUs are missing.

Safari (on Mac): I get the headings and the Settler image, along with Please wait while the table is loading..... message, but it doesn't make any effort at loading.

Chrome and Safari use the same HTML engine (webkit) but different javascript engines.

                  Chrome reports the following errors:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '0' of undefined
                  displayData200-Civilization-V-Unit-Table:511
                  httpObj.onreadystatechange200-Civilization-V-Unit-Table:389

sorttable.js:207 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'getElementsByTagName' of undefined
                  sorttable.getInnerTextsorttable.js:207
                  sorttable.guessTypesorttable.js:171
                  sorttable.makeSortablesorttable.js:87
                  (anonymous function)sorttable.js:36
                  Array.forEachsorttable.js:452
                  forEachsorttable.js:491
                  sorttable.initsorttable.js:34

Firefox reports dozens of warnings, so it seems it begrudgingly renders it. The code is poor.
"The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."
Ben Kenobi: "That means I'm doing something right. "

                    Thanks!
Firefox already gives warnings on the vB code.
It didn't give warnings on this code outside the vB environment.

I'm going to try to fix this!
It's a part of the sort-code, which I didn't write myself but borrowed from some other site.
If anybody knows a solution, please share!
