In the days and weeks after the change of government things could not look brighter for
the nation of Orb. Two new cities had gone up almost simultaneously with a third on its
way to complete the colonization of Orb territories underneath New Persia. Work forces
had been redeployed to build improvements around the new cities while making sure to
keep with natural beauty of Orb by not cutting down any of the forest areas unless it
was to build farms. Orb was also becoming a very wealthy nation, so much so that Orb
was able to increase tech research to 90% without having every city building up wealth.



Yet with all this improvement Orb was still lacking in real military strength. Though a large
army could be built in a very short time (thanks to the effort of the former
administration) Orb's Chief Rep John Peacecraft decided not to increase the military. "Orb
is a nation of peace which should never have need of any weapons of death", stated
Chief Rep Peacecraft to a local paper. He went on to say, "Though we are a nation of
peace we cannot turn a blind eye to those who wish to harm our way of life. This is why
the council has decided to push forward into researching the so called forbidden
technologies in the hope of creating new weapons to defend ourselves against any
invaders."



Many citizens are both worried and hopeful as they look forward to the future.

With the development of Military Science, Russia possessed a technology not haven by some superpowers. Neither India, Byzantium or England had made professional soldiering a science. As such, Prince Igor decided to show off his newest soldiers, though inferior in equipment to Indian Infantry or English Maxim Guns, the Grenadiers of the Moscow Military Institute were incomparable in training and skill. Upon leaving the Institute each soldier had 11 months worth of experience in combat training, squad tactics and Russian developed "moving-front" warfare. An ad was taken out in all major papers of the world to announce the Expo.

Russia arranges a Universal Exposition to display Military Science and other advances in Technology! All nations are invited to come to view Russian achievements as well as bring their own developed sciences and productions.

The old high preistess has gone into retirment and her replacement has been selected. Her first official duty is to go visit Egypt. There she wanted to visit the culturaly strong citys of Egypt and learn of their ways. She was a little taken aback with the number of Hippies and hoped the Taoists would remain firm in their ways.

She traveled to the Egyptian island provinces and was greatly taken by the culture in those areas.

After long and careful deliberations, the Senate agrees to trade the city of Transterminus for the colony of Norwichopoli, permanent access to dye and the transfer of Greek garrisons in the colonies to Roman control.

On this day the Ottoman Empire has declared war on the Arabians.

The Arabians recently settled an illegal colony on the African continent without permission from us, the English, Greeks, or Romans, all who share this continent peacefully.

We invite neutral international observers to notice the placement of the city before it is razed, next to the Ottoman city Edirne.

Ottoman forces have not entered Arab lands, staying on the border, we invite the Arabs to send the little military presence as well as workers and civilians to evacuate without any harm to them. We offer free transport back to the Arab mother land as well.

Failure to accept this proposal in the next 24hrs will result in immediate action, causing death to all military and capture of workers. The city will be razed.

For centuries the relationship between Ottoman and Arabs have been peaceful and profitable for both civilizations. Recently, upon receiving ships to explore the new world many leagues from our shores, I dispatched a small adventurous band of travellers. They found a new site along a river between our friends the Ottomans. It was unclaimed. We sent a dispatch by private courier to Ottoman to seek permission, and he was not allowed access to the Royal chambers. After travelling for many months the travellers had no choice but to establish a new settlement to restock. Now we have been denied access to the new world with WAR declared without any diplomacy. Ottomans prefer guns rather than negotiation. Arabia has no stomach to allow its citizens to be slaughtered so far from home. I have offered a cease far and abandoned the city. Our citizens have camped on the cliff awaiting ships from Arabia to transport we know not where. Arabians send hope to the travellers ... do not despare ... a nation prays for you.

Chaos reigns in Mali; these are turbulent times indeed. The long line of high priests have not been in power for years. It seems the last high priest just disappeared. Mali is struggling to find order and direction in these turbulent times.

The people of Mali do congratulate the new High Priestess in Korea. We pray that she will follow the Tao way and continue to enlighten those that do not follow the great God.

Caliph Mustafa III has offered a cease fire to the Arabs after razing the illegal settlement today.

He wishes to remind the Arabs that they did not send any request for this settlement to appear but in any event it was far too close to our 2 settlements and posed a health risk to all 3 cities should they have been allowed to stay. The offer stands for an neutral party to make an investigation into this claim, there are Romans nearby who can attest to the ill placement of the colony.

An Ottoman Galley is 2 days from your troops and as promised, they have been spared and will be transported back to the Arab motherland as a gesture of goodwill.

Due to the recent passing of Pharaoh Ramesses II, Egypt has entered a period of official mourning. A delegation of our Tao priests will attend the official gathering. Cleopatra, soon to be Pharaoh, will contact you as soon as she has officially ascended to the throne, but because of her period of official mourning, plus her preparations for the ascension to the throne, she is unable to attend herself. However, she does send her congratulations.

Currently the world has 1834 delegates representing the Taoists in ever ycoutnry world wide.

These number of delegates are seleccted based on a population of each city.

384 Delegats in Korea.

60 from Byzantium
260 from England
214 from Egypt
258 from India
266 from Native America
176 from Peru
188 from Mali
1 from Rome
6 from Ottomans
12 from Persia.

The western block usualy abstain at all votes.

The Indian block (India/Mali/Natives) have always voted together.

With Taoism spreading further the swing from Indian controlled to Korean controlled Aposolic palance was always going to happne.

Orb chairman 1: Chief Rep, due in much part to your wish to try and reach out to other nations we have undergone a change to try and bring in more gold into the nation. As of yet we have had only a few uprisings but not enough to cause and worry.

Chairman 2: Is there some way to help this endevor proceed smother?

Chairman 1: The process is nearly complete but there are other things we could be doing to help our financial situation even more.

Chief Rep Peacecraft: How so?

Chairman 1: We are in need of more banks and we need to find ways to cut maintnance coast. Perhaps even cut down on the tech research.

Chief Rep Peacecraft: Hmmm lower our tech out put is not an option. We must push ahead with that at all coast or our futures and the safty of our people will be put at great risk.

Chairman 3: Building banks will not be much of a problem for our mainland cities but only after the dikes have been built. The extra production will help speed up the banks.

chairman 2: I think we should also consider building more courthouses especially in our colonies along with maybe a palace as well.

Chief Rep Peacecraft: Ok for now we shale focuse all our efforts to completing the dikes that are building in each city now after word we will focus on lowering the maitnance coast to the nation.

The chairmen nodded in approval.

Chief Rep Peacecraft: Now what is the latest no our operation?

Chairman 5: We have gotten approval and our pieces are being put in place.

The council then dismissed for the day.
