albert, what did those 5 songs you put from around the world have in common? (hint: the correct answer is (almost) nothing). why do you wear your ignorance like a badge of honour?
peter gordon and love of life orchestra - beginning of the heartbreak
"The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.
"The most obvious predicition about the future is that it will be mostly like the past" - Alain de Botton

Umm... no... Even the Serbian and the Egyptian song both sound very similar in instrumentation. And West African (like Cameroon) influences on the music of Brazil and Trinidad are obvious and well-documented. They have obvious commonalities, but I meant something greater like a general lack of distortion and harsh dissonance.
Look at that thing I posted from Bugs... Whitehouse. Compare.

I live in Canada, which is a totalitarian state. - Ben Kenobi
I thought we're trying to have a serious discussion? It says serious in the thread title!- Al. B. Sure

Since I mentioned Bobby Womack and haven't posted any of his songs in a while...
And I don't think I've posted any Al Green:

weak, albert, weak. you picked 5 songs at random which have bugger all in common and this is a poor attempt to cover up the fact that you don't know what you are talking about.
right, finally we're getting somewhere. so what you're really saying here is that none of those songs sound like industrial or punk rock. well, no [kidding] sherlock! so to cut through the bullshit and get to the point, you are saying that you don't like those two genres and don't understand how others can. you've said it before. that's all, don't try to dress it up because you're just making yourself look silly. your problems with appriciating that others have different tastes (whether it be music or women or whatever) are well documented here....but I meant something greater like a general lack of distortion and harsh dissonance.

AAHZ posts a hot song! I don't believe it! Where did you find it?! I was trying to post it up but every version of it on youtube including the music video had its audio disabled!
"Been on this planet for 25 years and still strong
the worlds rotten like the veins in my fathers arm
I remain calm, study Islam, read the Torah
world going in flames like Sodom and Gomorrah"
Holy ****, AAHZ.
How the beat cuts out before Tragedy says Sodom and Gomorrah always gave me chills.
