Ignore the "RC3" text on the website, it was finalized not too long ago and the page simply has not been updated.

It minimizes it in that the new versions automatically back up the bookmark file's regularly and they aren't overwritten.
The bug itself is not fixed because it's seemingly random and they haven't been able to gather enough information to track it down. You can add your email to the CC list on the bug to follow it: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=249150
It's my understanding that it's not receiving much attention because in 2.0, it's all getting rewritten anyway. Bookmarks for now are stored in a simple text file, and in Firefox 2.0 it will use a small database (SQLite) to store bookmarks, site history, etc.

Is a new flash blocker avaliable yet...I so miss it ever since I went to 1.5.
Also, where is the option the let extensions update itself, I can find it.
Right now, they hang when I click update.

How do I get Firefox to search from the address bar like Opera? "g something" meaning "google something"?

Apparently the hanging is caused by an older version of Flashblock.Originally posted by alva

You can install the latest version of Flashblock on Firefox 1.5 from their website: http://flashblock.mozdev.org/
Also: if you use the "adblock" extension, uninstall it and install "adblock plus" instead. "adblock" is not supported anymore and is known to not work well with 1.5.
Get adblock plus here: http://bene.sitesled.com/adblock.htm

Enter in the name and the keyword, store the bookmark somewhere.

Are there any useful new features apart from being able to reorder tabs?

Better rendering engine (support for SVG among other things), tons of bugfixes, new options pannel (including vastly improved cookie management), "Clear Private Data" feature, new error pages (allow you to re-submit forms if the page fails for whatever reason), incremenetal updates (patches instead of full new downloads for updates), etc.
Also enables more features for extension developers.

Did too. It used to have the normal windows theme for its menu bars. Now it's more java-y.

Ohhh, that. They did change the menu bars to be more like Windows XP natively, but a lot of people are complaining because now it looks weird on Windows Classic (and Windows 2000).
See this to restore the previous behavior: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_windows_classic

Do you use Windows Classic?

If you use the Windows XP theme in windows you wouldn't really notice it, it looks normal.

For some reason, Firefox takes a couple seconds to show up, from when I first click it to when it comes onto the Dock and opens up. It's the only program that does this, and didnt do it before I updated.

In the past I'd get a symbol in the upper right corner to let me know there's a update but lately I haven't gotten that symbol. Is there something wrong?

autoupdates will be pushed later, so as to not hammer the server all at once.
