People often remark of me, "You say sorry far to much!". To which my common-sense reply is "I apologise".

Three day weekend ,Spending it playing CtP2 with the latest playtest. Was working on a game called Superpower adding files and tweaking AI but need a rest from it.. The empire building fever is hard to shake off.

ummm... so just got back after being busy
happy birthdays E, Martin, and Maq
also i saw both Martin and E have submitted civ group news so i thought i just put sth combined up and u guys can make suggestions if any changes r needed

The source code updates for the playtests are showing alot of promise. AI,s manage their empire like a skilled player. Maxing of sliders- balancing units -buidings and expanding borders to keep you hemed in.
Ai to AI dipolamcy has not been bad. Cease fires between AI,s takes around 40 turns.
Here is something you might want to try for fun.
I took all the numbers from the Apolpack mod DiffDB text file copied them to the latest playtest 8 2 05 DiffDB text file. Then play impossible level. I have not able to win a single game . The AI uses alot of range attacks .
I dont download a major mod with playtest because some have stated that crashes can happen after awhile .

not this version, but last time i tried i couldnt even start any mods

Protra can you attach that diffDB.txt? Saves me time changing it myself.Originally posted by Protra3211

EDIT: NM, im back on my own computer now so im able to grab it myself.

well i'm sure to be here until Christmas, since I promised that Civ4 will on be the list and I wont rush out to get this one. So until then i'm still going to be dedicated to ctp2, coding the best I can (and graphics maybe too) and if civ4 is too hard to do graphic changes etc i'll be back.
the question is: who plans on staying and who's leaving? and why...

Im still finishing up a close game of CtP2( Medieval2 mod) in SP mode. After that I at least want to play the new playtests that come out. Will post on how the game went.
It looks like Civ4 will be a winner but it remains to be seen if the game will give you the feeling of building a empire the way CtP2 did along with each game having its own story.
Could a CtP3 mod be build using Civ4 as a base?
A thought or two was throw out among well know CtP2 modders.

As i said before ill be here until its finished or all the coders move on. Even if all the coders do leave ill still be interested in modding/playing both civ4 (if it turns out good enough) and CtP2.
This is of course barring any real-life attacks though.
