Impressive looking 'road column' in the 'Before the Battle' screen - do troops automatically assume a kind of column march order when directed to travel some distance?

I forgot to check out the 1st screen. It would appear that the villagers are wearing sombreros. Very cool.

Looks like an american civ. Aztecs, Maya or Incans.

It's the Aztecs!

The column formation you see in the screenshot was made by selecting the entire group of units, right-clicking on the ground (which shows you where each unit will be standing and the direction they will face), and using the mouse wheel which allows you to expand or compress formations.
