    What are they?

    If anyone knows please respond!!!

The development of campaigns is at a very early stage right now. Much of our campaign focus is currently directed on getting Conquer The World further along in development. Lots of features and art are still being worked on for it right now.

Well since they have kind of said that they will be adding campaigns to RoN, it begs the questions what campaigns are they going to add.

So what campaigns would you like to see in a RTS historical game?

They should put WWI & WWII in as well as Spain's conquest of the Americas (Inca & Aztec).

The 100 year war between England & France

        Napolean's Conquest

That's all I can think of for now but I'll write others down if I can think of them.

How about the Crusades? (some of them anyway)

Hmm, maybe they should have one or perhaps two campaigns that everyone would really like to see (such as WWII in the German theatre), and then have other campaigns that flesh out some of the lesser known civilizations. Lesser known from the prespective of the gamer, that is. So you can play and get to know more about he American Civs, for example. That would be very nice. Afterall, if the editing features are good, then the gaming community will handle most of the more popular ideas for campaigns, so I don't think every campaign needs to be something that immediately comes to mind as a good idea to the average buyer. Need some for marketing though, I think.

Heh, maybe a Greek campaign where Aristotle isn't poisoning the enemies of Alexander? : )
I don't think he did that in real life, IIRC.

Hmm....perhaps the game could include some text files that give info and ideas for player-created campaigns. They could include a brief overview and history of a historic event, as well as some (or all) of the historic details needed to make the campaign fairly accurate. That should be much, much easier than actually making the campaign, and it would speed up how fast the community made some campaigns. At least, that's how it seems to me. Of course, this is from the perspective of someone that would like to play the campaigns that teach a little history. Speaking of which, if some campaigns include some gross fictions, perhaps those could be marked or noted somehow (though hopefully this won't happen).

Hmm, anyhow else feel the same as I about history and campaigns?

              That's a great idea

... also, I would like (if possible) one or more campaigns/missions per civ

                Agreed. Great idea.

Even though they may be the most important 18 civs in world history, I know my history class didn't necessarily agree with those choices. Would be great to see something spending time showing off the small ones that we may not have much prior knowledge of.

I would suggest the following (8 campaigns, probably one for each epoch, each would consist of 4-6 scenarios) campaigns. I would also like that each campaign would be done for winning side, but once you complete you could replay each scenario separately while fighting for other side. It wouldn't be hard to do because map and everything else except some triggers would stay the same:

Ancient Age - Probably this should be the only age without campaign, since I doubt ancient campaign would be very interesting. Of course some campaign like "Building Babylon" could be done and it would act more like a tutorial campaign of how to build buildings, units, etc.
Classical Age - Greco-Persian war (possible scenarios - major battles, Thermopylae, Marathon, some sea battles)
Medieval Age - 100-years war (between France and England)
Gunpowder Age - Napoleon's war (starting probably from French revolution)
Enlightment Age - American civil war (Gethysbourgh, Antietam, etc.)
Industrial Age - WW1 (do I need to comment more?)
Modern Age - WW2 (probably for the allies and on both theaters, on some you'd have to control UK (like defend country from luftwaffe in battle for Britain), in some USA and SU. Probably about 7 scenarios here)
Information Age - There are several candidates - Korean War, Vietnam War, Suez War, Gulf War, etc. Maybe a campaign called "Cold War" could be done, in which all the major clashes between USSR and USA would be shown, including Vietnam, Korea, Cuban blockade maybe also some intelligence missions with spy-planes. Each war would probably get one scenario under such a campaign.
