  • Reality?

I was wondering if the events on the game match up to the actual time? I also would like to know a bit more info on the Napoleonic Wars and where there be a lot to do with ships?

Ummm, why would you want that? Do you really want every time you play to experience a plague in 1347 if you are a European Civ? Do you really want to see the same invaders rise up at the same time? Why would you want things to match up with historical reality?

I cannot really understand that wish either. Who needs Napoleonic War if there is no Napoleon and France was defeated before the Middle Ages.

BTW I want the exact opposite: if it will ever be possible I'd like to have a Civ game without predefined technologies, where your Civ would really invent things even though they never existed.

Well, the game could have campaigns that would allow the player to experience historical situations and to see how he could handle them. Can you be better than Napoleon? Can you achieve a victory in Waterloo? This sort of thing...
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

Slightly off topic, but have you tried Waterloo by Breakaway Games? It is based on the Firaxis Gettysburg engine.
