    • When a city is under bombardment I would like to see it depopulate, have some of the workers/peasants run for the hills!!! Not just killed.

Also, could you change the inerface skins for differrent eras?

Previously, I recommended to think about this in Civ3. Have a look here. These trees should work just as current scientific trees work, and of course, they should be as close as possible to reality and real history.

        Bon appettite!!
Remember MoO3's cuts like Ethos engine ( socio-religious factors influencing the colonies pop behavior )? We all want the most complex strat game ever, but we can't afford to wait 10 years in development for being overambitious. Good point, but I don't think the development team has the time to implement detailed socio/religious compounds within a wargame...well, they should, but not at this stage of the business in 2002. Perhaps in 5 -10 years when the technology will make it possible to make that kind of game within a much shorter time.

        • Why only develop great leaders through combat? And why only apply them to armies or rushing wonders? Why not develop great leaders through negotiation (Benjamin Disraeli)? Or through political strife (Ghandi)? Or through monetary expertise (Randolph Hearst)? Or through political maneuvering (Teddy Roosevelt)? Or through scientific achievement (Einstein, Edison, Carver)? And why not have them affect other things in the game like reducing unrest or speeding research or adding a city or boosting a cities population? Great leaders come in all types in the real world.

            • I have an idea which would give impetus to more sea battles.

With EE, one thing that gets totally left out for use is the seas. After most of the fish runs out or the battle starts the seas are no more then impediments to ground troops and at best thorough fares.

If you have oil or other resources besides fish you have to build offshore rigs basically like they have in warcraft2, from the modern eras that can be used to extract these resources. That way people would have a reason to fight over parts of the ocean.

              • Ive often wonder long why India has never been tackled in the RTS realm, ever since AOE. There is
a lot of reasons I think they should be included.

The reason why India should be in is:

                1) They have been left out and disapointingly missing in all other previous RTS' despite repeated desires of a significant amount of RTS fans to have them in.
                2) Taj Mahal makes a cool wonder. Need I say more.
                3) They are 2nd most populus nation in the world, and really population = civilization. Read "Guns Germs and Steel".
                4) They are a nuclear capable power in today's world, which makes them a viable civ in the modern age of the game.
                5) Buddism was born in India and it has effected much of asian and spawned many sub-sects. Religious influence is as much a part of a game as military or inventions especially in a game like RON. They also have a rich mythology/cosmology in their religions.
                6) India existed from our most ancient past to the present, largely intact. Since RON covers such a vast period of time, a nation such as India which has a long more or less continous past makes its ideal for RON, and doesnt require huge leaps in speculation on what ifs.
                7) India was also historically important as far as interaction with other nations. It was part of the Silk road, in the 2nd century under the Kushan Empire. Currently important , just turn on the news. Alexander the Great conquered into India. The Persians also conquered into India, Britain also conquered into India (the jewel of the british empire), and really what facilitated the Opium War with China.
                8) They are fairly culturally unique and distinct in the world. You say the word India, and people conjures up and image, stereotypical or complementary but it is distinct and recognizable. THUS given the game's approach to have unique civ bonus and flavour, it is convenient and easy to model a civ on the perceived character of India.
                9) They also had some good examples out of their history for unique units. For example, the word Assassins comes from a homicidal para military cult who used the drug Hash induce suicidal zeal in their members. I know they are kinda in a way Persian, but Persian in the way that India was controlled by Persian rulers at the time.
                10) COOL elephant armies! http://www.indiancultureonline.com/M...ml/ganesha.htm Bow before Ganesha people and call Apu Nahasapeemapetilon http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip...4/kwik-e-m.htm your daddy!

Nothing against Nubians but I think they could have India instead and probably much of the unit art wouldnt have to be changed, maybe just the wonders and unique units.

Also. They should concentrate on more the INDIGENOUS peoples rather then what they evolved to, since many of them are really the merging/evolution in multiple paths of several ancient cultures/civs. So for that reason I also think they should have a civ representing the pacific islanders. ie) Maori

Purhaps I have to wait for an expansion pack for this bit I hope they would put those two civs plus a native american one like Iroquois (they were in civ2).

                • Yeah me too. I mean Nubians are a silly choise for a civ. I mean what are they famous for? Nothing!

I would also like North America instead of Mayas. Mayas are a better choise than Nubians, but still ya got Aztecs to represent that region and they are much more famous.

Oh, and can thier be Gia in the game? That would be nice.

                      • here are my questions... Please answer them soon....

1)Will there be governments in the game? Like communism, Fascism, Democracy, Republic and so on. I just want to know if there in the game. If not.
2)Will they be in a future expansion some time down the road from RON?

3)Another question is i know there is ICBM's. But pretend your playing on a map with large oceans. And the enemy is a continent away. Can you fire a ICBM at one of the openents cities on the other continent, and it will be able to reach it?

4)Also will there be nuclear subs?
5)And will they be able to launch cruise missiles and nuclear missiles?

6)Will there be stealth units in the game?
7)Like subs are invisible to all units except a couple that can detect them?

8)Will subs be able to submerge and surface? Like when there submerged there stealth ability comes into play.

9)Can battleships cruise missile attack land targets as a bombard command?

                        10)Will there be trench warfare?
11)Can you use the draft? Like citizens will be drafted and turned into militia and such.
                        12)Can you occupy enemy nations?

Subs should be able to submerge and surface. And when there submerged there in stealth mode. And only certian units can detect them. Also about the nukes. They should have a treaty where you can request a nation to reduce there nuclear arsenals with you. I also like how they have a nuke counter such as armageddon.

ICBMs that [can't] hit other continents would be kinda silly, yes. I hope that range on those things isn't short.

                            -edit-

OMG! You guys let me leave that typo in there (can, instead of can't) for all this time?!?

                            • How about some sort of battle flag that you could rally round---- Roman Eagles or Tricolors, for instance? Maybe even bagpipers?

I also suggest that "supply units" should be in the form of a "baggage train" that could be captured. Maybe instead of providing healing it should instead improve the basic combat strength percentage of all units within a certain area.

Thus you could build battle flags that would improve morale and supply trains that would improve hit points. Together they would provide a considerable benefit, but either could be captured to immediately weaken or demoralize the opponent.

Seige weapons could throw dead horses to start plagues.

I seriously doubt this would be the case, considering the IC in ICBM is "Inter-Continental".
