    Brian,

In the remote chance that you'll read this, I'd like to ask a question if I may.

I know you don't really want to talk about content, but is your new game based in a Historical setting or is it Fictional/Fantasy based?

The most interesting thing about the interview (besides the non-appearance on E3), was the way he used the word "topic" a lot. This speaks directly to the Sid Meier fan. I mean, topical games are not exactly all that common, are they? Ask someone what the topic was in Ground Control, or in Starcraft, and you'd get an answer like "Er, a sort of sci-fiey strategy romp thingy" or something. On the other hand, ask about the topic of Pirates or Shogun or Rollercoaster Tycoon and you get immediate answers like "Leading a group of pirates", "Renaissance Japanese Warfare", "Theme Park Managment", etc. This suggests to me a thematic game will be the first offering. Thus, I also expect it to be either historical or contemporary. Sci-fi is notoriously difficult to "topicize".

First off, great job getting an interview! Too bad his non-disclosure agreement has kept him so quiet about Civ3...even his view of the list.

            - Sure, why not! If some of your fans are interested, we'd love to hear from them.

LOL! I saw that, thought about it for two seconds, and decided: "No way!"

You know, with Civ3, at least we had some idea of what we are working with. Obviously in this case we know nothing...and most Apolytoners are TBS people (from what I see anyway).

But if he's serious about getting feedback from us in some way, I'll be first in line to help.

Would love to help with ideas on how to make RTS more complex, but like yin I think I need a premise to write on. So Brian, give us a topic soon and hopefully we can churn out some ideas.
