    I know it isn't funny.

But look, as soon as I raise my doubts about the veracity of the login, the login disappears. If he were to post here and say "Look, I am the REAL Brian Reynolds, live with it" then I'd be inclined to believe him. But he doesn't.

        "As soon as"?!?
Brian posted once with his new login, on May 8. You started this thread on June 1

I'm sure he has better things to do than to prove the "singleness" of his login to you...

Anyway, that's the last post I've made on this issue...

Exactly. It was that first post that made me suspicious.

Well, if he doesn't worry about credibility, why should we?

-It is interesting to note the connection between Reynolds and Morris. Apparently, they still keep in contact. What's a Firaxis team member like Mr. Morris doing on this part of the forum? It seems that he's some sort of Quality Assurance Manager. That makes his precence here doubly strange... Surely he should be in some sort of bug report forum? Which reminds me: why does Firaxis not have their own forum, nor BHG?

-What is alpha.owo? "www.owo.com" is the web page of the now sadly defunct Origin developer. As far as I was aware, however, they had nothing to do with the development of Alpha Centauri. I didn't have Web Access when Alpha Centauri came out, but wasn't the official site "Alphacentauri.com"?

Jeff mainly posts in the SMAC and the CIv3 General forums, as he is related to the two games. As for what he is doing on this forum, wouldnt you be interested to check it out if you were in his place?

about forums, an official forum when it is certain that the company people dont have much to say on that(because it is too early in development or a long time after the release) has been proven not to be a good idea.

alpha.owo.com was a server Firaxis was using to host their SMAC forums

Actually, my bet is that there really is no one else here at Apolyton except Mark, and he makes all these posts himself, just for fun. Even this one.

That's what I'd do if I had my own internet forum.

I, for one, am not MarkG's double login. I suspect that Jeff Morris isn't, but I am deeply suspicious about the Brian Reynolds one.

If Bighugegames had their own forum, I could ask Brian there if he was the same one that posted (once) here.

ok, so you're suspicious. One question though: don't you think you've mentioned that enough times by now?

Thankyou for asking. I assume that you require me to answer this question and you were not having a rhetorical dig at me.

Have I mentioned the fact that I am suspicious that this is a false Brian Reynolds enough times?

Probably, yes, more than enough. I was hoping, though, that the REAL Brian Reynolds would come forward and disprove some of these wild and wacky theories.

Sadly, no, he hasn't. I think this login has disappeared the same way a lot of double logins go when they get challenged. I remain convinced that it is false.

I find it hard to believe that I am the only person who is in the least suspicious on this issue!!!!!!!

I think it is an important issue if you consider this site's policy towards double logins.

Jesus, why don't you go over to ww.bighugegames.com

Go to the news section, you'll find a screenshot of Apolyton, and read the small text next to it.

If that still isn't enough proof, I worry about you and all the electrical things in your house.

                              Loki,

Thanks. I have checked it out. However, it doesn't really answer my question. There is no proof that the character posting here as Brian Reynolds is THE Brian Reynolds from Big Huge Games. Anyone, could have read that and created the login - I am sure it's a hoax.

I think I know what the imposter did.

Registered as Brian Reynolds here on his own ISP. Posted once. Then changed the e-mail address to the bighugegames.com one. That's what now shows in the profile.

That's why he has never posted again as the imposter doesn't have the password and the REAL Brian deleted the message as junk mail or something.
