A commentary on the fifth Age of Nations (AoN) episode, "First Strike", sees Writing Consultant Joe "snoopy369" Matise back with Creator/Producer Daniel "DanQ" Quick to go over what is arguably a pivotal episode in the first season. Topics of discussion include but are not limited to live actor props, controlling virtual characters, the continual effort to link events in subsequent instalments and a feline's favourite moment. Quick also wrote the script.

AoN is the first Real-Time Strategy (RTS) machinima series, and the first Rise of Nations machinima endeavour that also blends some `live-action` footage for good measure. AoN is produced and published by Apolyton Civilization Site, one of the oldest and premiere online computer strategy gaming fansites on the Internet.
