You might like RON if you turn down the game speed or use the pause button. When I first started playing it, I made liberal use of the pause feature, but I think this crippled my skill development with the game. I think playing with the game speed turned down will be better in the long run.
RON isn't about intensive micro-management like Starcraft or Warcraft 3, so quick reflexes aren't as crucial.

yes uses EDITPLUS2 or another XML editor which should be able to get somewhere for freeOriginally posted by Adagio
For TBS players, the pause button really come in handy
This is the RTS game that is closest to being a TBS game
Though you need to mod it to make it fun in the long run
But at least modding is easy

I just use notepad, which is just as easy
with an xml editor or editplus2 you can go right to the line..
does wordpad do this as well??
Thanks

I usually only have when doing something like Call To Power Units.tx which has so many lines and units..when scenario makingOriginally posted by Adagio
Nope, but I've never encountered such error anyway
When I have done some other games I try writing the line numbers down from original to testing so I can track altered results..good or bad..

Sure, if you're doing some modding for games where modding is more advanced, then yes it could become helpful, but we're talking about RoN
