RoN or EE?

Hello everyone, just got a new computer today and was wundering if I should get RoN.

I just got Empire Earth last week but having problems running it on my old computer and not shure if I should try and run it on my new computer with win xp.

what do you guys think? I would love to get Ron but not shure if it is just like EE I don't want it, what are the diffrences?

I had RoN but didn't work very well (to slow on a celeron 300) and finally got a new comp and want to know the differences between the games.

Is thier diplomacy in RoN? thier isn't in EE (don't like that)

If I do get RoN should I also get the expansion or can that wait? is it a must have or is it more like Civ 3 PtW

A looong time ago, I attempted a summary of the differences between RoN and EE. My opinion is they represent two distinctly different ways of doing grand historical RTS. RoN does feature diplomacy (though you can turn it off by using the "Survival of the Fittest" setting), and RoN: Thrones & Patriots features even more diplomacy in its Conquer the World scenarios. Nevertheless, at least some fans of the Civilization series feel RoN doesn't feature enough diplomacy. BHG included as many diplomatic features as they felt would work well in their real-time environment where the goal was "history in your lunch hour."

Personally, RoN/RoN:T&P ranks among the finest games I have ever played.

Personally I enjoyed RoN a lot more than EE in general. The feel of the game, its depth, and its variety make for hours of great gameplay. EE, although it does have its bright points, I just don't think can compare.
