They seem fairly powerful. More so than the original civilizations.
I'm building a wagon! On some other part of the internets, obviously (but not that other site).

Not only they seem too powerful, but I dont see why the Americans should be represented.

Which was was built by the french, which IS a nation in RoN.

And they werent -- and shouldtn, IMHO -- represented because they are a rebel colony at the beginning and not a nation from the start.

but it was given to America and recognized as a American icon. All the countires started from different eras. Greeks were nation way before Germans and French were does that mean they shouldnt be in the game? Rise of nations spans all of history and in imo America should be a nation bc it has been the single biggest player in modern history and rise of nations includes modern history, but thats just my opinon.

Give me a good reason why America shouldn't be in the game... the "USA wasn't a nation from the beginning" doesn't make any sense at all...

Giving America ancient units makes as much sense as giving Maya modern units

And as far as I know, Germany wasn't considered a nation 200 years ago. Back then, it was only small states of some sort...

Well i think the debate about wether historically it should be in or not, is rather irrleivant in the whole scheme of things. the US is in because the US represents a hefty percent of gamers, and It will go along way to ensuring the expansion pack will be a sucsess.

I kinda agree with ADG for the simple reason that if a empire was required to have particpated in basically every age, there wouldn't really be a whole lot of countries that would be eligible.

Does anyone else think that they could of combined the american tribes with the US, seeing one more or less ceased to be a power when the other came in. Ie US ancient troops being Native americans. (although that might not be liked by some parties, but was just a thought)

It also offers some new information about the nations...

...And if you look at the screenshots in the campaign section, you'll notice some icons of RR that's not in the game...
