Frame rates on Multiplayer

Hi all,

Just curious as to what multiplayer framerates everyone is experiencing in non lag games!

I get 10-12 on non lag games (down to 0 in some laggy games - right before it drops someone! )

Granted, its a new game, with only 2 AI.

It won't go above 50- must be vsync or something.

In a single player game I can only get frame rates on 15!

I run win 98SE, 256Mg Ram, 64Meg 8X AGP card, Athlon XP 2100+ so what am I doing wrong?! I even tried the graphics on low res - no result!

Is there any sites with sugested set up options for maximising frame rates?

Just for reference I have an Athlon 2400 and 1 GB of RAM on Windows 2000. I upgraded from a GeForce 3 500 to a Radeon 9800 and my FPS went from 30 at start and 10 in Information age to 70 at start and 50 in Information age. All settings maxed.

I don't play MP games, so I don't know the frame rate there, but in SP it's usually good
