Ia Drang Valley
On the morning of November 14, 1965, several platoons landed by helicopter at Ia Drang Valley in Vietnam. For several hours more troops followed them from the 7th Air Calvary one of the best-trained and equipped divisions in the U.S. Army. They were deployed to fight the Vietnamese behind their lines and Ia Drang was where they were to do that. The Vietnamese knew they were going to have to fight bloody battles to compensate for the mobile warfare the U.S. was conducting. Neither side expected what they came for, the battle which quickly erupted quickly descended to a violence not yet seen in the war.
In this secenario you play the part of Lt. Col. Hal Moore, commander of a battalion of the 7th Calvary. You are sent to the Ia Drang River Valley to fight the Vietnamese on their own ground. You get several waves of infantry to set up a defensive perimiter with. Use the terrain to yor tactical advantage and see if you can defend against the enemy waves and counter attacks.
