I'm not sure yet, but I may, maybe make a cool mod to enhance special forces operations. I found that if I make a unit a legacy unit I can let it transport other units. Probably only modders know what I mean by legacy unit.
Legacy Unit: A unit or function that was in the Beta or in a pre beta version.
One of the legacy abillities lets you transport units. Well, scince I recently got the RON exporter and I am going to get 3D Studios Max pretty soon (In about a week) I was thinking about making a transport helicopter and maybe 2 or 3 other special forces units to help you carry out fun surgical strikes against the enemy, Unfortuanatly, If you have my U.S. mod it will replace it, so I am thinking about puting the U.S. mod in a different version so you don't lose it. I will also take out the current Elite Special forces unit and make it three different units. The three special ops units will remain cloaked when not carrying out there duties, except the sniper is always cloaked but very slow. The four units I will add are:
1. Transport Helicopter: Lets you fly infantry to different locations. Model: Blackhawk Helicopter
2. Sniper: Can take down units at a long distance and remain cloaked even while firing his weapon.
3. Demoltions Expert: A unit that can plants explosives. But the unit will become visible when planting an explosive. May also fire Submachine gun. Equipped with anti tank abilities.
4. Support Unit: A unit with a submachine gun that is able to take down infantry quickly. But is vulnerable to fire when firing.
Basically all these units may have alot of attack and can nail down units very quickly but unfortunately you wouldn't want to replace your standard infantry because these units are expensive and have alot less health. I am also thinking about making these three units avaible at the fort instead of the barracks. The Transport helicopter will be availbe at the airport of course. The Transport Helicopter will also be able to transport two squads of infantry and have a machine gun on the side to fire at any units that get in the way. Sound cool? I always like playing around with special forces yet there was never a good way to get them in or out, not a way to quickly eliminate infantry. So what do you think?
