  • I Feel Cheated - Again!!!

I wish I had looked at this site before I wasted £35 on this bloody game.

I see that lots of users are getting problems with the game.

My own problem is as follows:

Whilst playing the tutorials I managed to get as far as the Henry VIII scenario - everything was ok until just after pressing the alarm bell - all my citizens made it back to the city before the Scots attacked - then wham, just as the Scots attacked the first building, I was thrown back to the desktop.

Subsidiary problem now being that no matter what I do whenever I try to launch the game (either from the CD or from the HD) all that happens is that I get the loader screen appearing for about 10 seconds then - nothing (funnily enough using within WinXp pro produced a message that says that the game is running?? - don't understand that one at all!!)

BTW is it me or am I just being cynical when I say that I am starting to get the impression that ever since Gates & Co released winXp we have all had difficulties with multitude of games out there that are supposed to run on that OS.

Right now I am one P****d off cookie since I know that B Gates looking down from his ivory tower doesn't give a s**t about us or our "petty" problems.

I have never been in favour of any of the legislation that the European Union has produced from Brussels or Strasbourg - but maybe it's time to let them create a law that will make software producers liable if their product does not work. I would try to use the United Kingdom's Trading Standards laws but two things prevent me:

Firstly I am led to believe they can't do anything about faulty software - even if it does blatantly breeched the Trades Description Act. Secondly I do not have the time or resources to be able to take on a giant like M$.

To anybody that has read this far I thank you for your patience and also for your kindness in letting me rant on and get this off my chest.

PS if you see this same rant on other sites please accept my apologies in advance - I am so p****d off about this that I have spread these words far and wide.

for some reason, ron elevates temperatures of the gfx card a bit. probably the judicious use of shaders.

having the most updated drivers helps; if you have an intel processor, download the intel application accelerator from the intel site and switch modes for the hd to optimal performance at the cost of quiet.
