  • Renaming Cities/Units?

Is there a way to rename your cities ingame?

Is there a way to rename your units when you hotkey them? (1st Infantry to something else?)

    Thanks

you can rename your cities by pressing r, i believe, in game after you select it.

there is also a button on your control panel that lets you do so when you've selected the city.

as for your units, not quite. the way the names are decided comes from its composition and group number: thus, selecting 24 missile artillery units as group 9 will create "9th Artillery"; selecting 14 citizens and 3 machine guns as group 2 will create "2nd Support".

You can also edit the city names that show up by default in the Rise of Nations\tribes folder.

You do this by changing the entries where it has a CITY tag in the XML files for each nation.

Time to take out the trash. You know its easy but it seems harder every time you try and think about it.

got it thanx. I hope the next patch will make things more customizable.

? though I was doing the hot key units thing and occasional get 11th support or 14th infantry. How did I get into units after 10? how do I access them later?

you could have been making new groups by CTRL+F1 to CTRL+F4.

to select them again, just press F1 to F4.
