i have a network consisting of 3 PCs, the 'server' PC having 2 NIC and a hub to connect them all together (usual setup)
now, the problem is that none of the multiplayer modes will work on the 'server' PC! whatever style of play i pick (LAN or inernet) it gives the error "Unable to establish a network connection. Please check your network connection and try again."... but the network IS fine and fully functional, even the other 2 'client' PCs can start/join LAN games
i do have a firewall but have tried playing with it disabled and still didnt work, i even tried disabling each of the NIC cards but again no luck. i can only guess that the multiplayer dosent want to work because it dosent know which NIC card to use, either that or it just hates me!
the server PC spec is:
AMD 2000xp
512mb DDR
GeForce4 ti4200
ASUS A7S333 motherboard
SB Live 5.1
Netgear FA310TX ethernet NIC (internet)
3Com 10/100 ethernet NIC (network)
Netgear EN104 hub
Cable modem
