  • Capitol elimination time

I noticed in team games that the amount of time you have to recapture your capitol isn't always the same. Does anyone know how this time is calculated?

yea, that was friggin stupid. i think it's age/tech based.

one game i captured an enemy capital, then abotu a minute later i lost mine, and my timer was SHORTER than the one i captured, wven after a minut of holding it.

I think that having more time to take back the capitol is a good idea, its just another way your research benefits you in the game.

I don't know what causes the differences, but my guess (just completely out of the air type guess) is that its civics.

Could also be local infrastructure, but I'd like to know the mechanics myself.

Did that to AI once, researched World Government, proceeded to nuke his capital twice, and the city between me and his capital twice, too. Then just take all my mob of infantry and run through all the way to his capitol. Victory!
