        I could swear i've reduced a city, sent in a cavalry and it would not capture. I did this test specifically to see if infantry were the only ones that captured cities. There were no other buildings in the city, i reduced it with artilery, no villigers near by. Send in a light cav unit and it wouldn't capture.

              You will need infantry to take the city, other units will contribute to the militart point factor.

              "the enemy has to have superior military forces in the vicinity: each living "figure" counts as a point of military (so a full health infantry unit counts as 3, whereas a cataphract or tank is only 1, in abstraction/recognition of the fact that infantry are much more important in "city fighting"). Also towers count I think 6 and castles 12 if they're right nearby"


              Said if you have all tanks, art, plances, support units, but no infantry. Enemy city is reduced and they do not have any units around. The city will not become yours.

              But if you have one infantry, then the military point factor comes into play.

                One funny reason.

                Your tank force roll into a city you have just sack.

                your commander wanted to tell the mayor that the city is your now.

                First he will need to find this mayor and need to do a house to house seach. Then he remember that he forget to bring along his infantry. Oh!! ok then i will use my tanks instead.

                On the sheets, the town people saw stupid tanks rolling into everyones living room looking for the mayor.



                That is pure stupid?
