Nuclear bomb effects messed

I remember in the beta that whenever I dropped a nuke, the whole screen would turn blindingly white and the mushroom cloud would appear in the middle. But now, the background doesn't turn white, but sometimes, there's a big white circle in the middle of my screen.

I don't know if they took out the 'blinding' effect on purpose, but this big white circle thing is definately buggy, and seems to happen when the game is lagged from many units.

Here's the screens. The white blob will flicker on and off several times throughout the nuke sequence. Easily reproducible with many units on screen:






As you can see, the blob centers on the screen, even though the nuke itself is off to the side.
