I have a regular computer with specs just like everyone else except that my video card is a Radeon 8500 128Meg (350mhz DAC) LELE. I defragged my hard drive because I had major fragmentation on it but I still seem to have the problem. During game play, my computer will reboot COMPLETELY without warning and randomally. Sometimes I can play for hours without any problems, and other times for 1 minute and the computer resets. The game doesnt crash, it's just a REBOOT without ANY warning, almost as if i loose power to the computer, but the computer doesnt shut down it just restarts. I play many other games such as Command and Conquer Generals, and Raven Shield, and I have no such problem EVER (except Raven Shield sometimes starts glitching after hours of game play, but that is fixed with a game restart).
Anyway......It reboots and i get "beep beep beep" from my computer...steady beep. I open up my computer, first reset the BIOS, no go, then I pulled out the memory and put it back in...suprisingly it turned on without any beeps. It loads Windows XP but when I go to login, i get Tons of corrupted file errors such as C:\ and C:\Windows (i know they aren't FILES but windows said that *shrug*). Anyway, I figured i lost all my data, as i attempted to logon but it says i dont have enough resources to load my User Enviroment and just sits there. Then i attempt Safe mode, Computer reboots just like the game did to it. I kept trying to go into Windows, no go....then it came to the point where it would just not load the GUI and sit there loading (i left it on all night and went to sleep). I come home and try to boot into windows again, it fails like usual with corrupted file errors (then it reboots like the game did). I reboot again and get no errors and logon fine....with NO PROBLEMS NOTHING.......after about 5 minutes into windows it reboots like usual. I booted back in, and here I am....excepting it to reboot again. I did not have these problem before I installed the game. Any comments???!
