Research Speed control

Hi all,

I recently purchased the strat guide (which is pretty good btw)... anyway. On page 55 it has a blurb about
being able to slow down the research speed of the A.I. in Single player games... but I cannot find a config button to adjust this. I know there is a game speed control, but I do not want to slow down the game speed, just the research speed so I have a chance!!@!

Anybody know if there is a way to do this ???

In the Quick Battle setup you can set the research speed as one of the custom settings. Maybe that's what it's talking about.

Also i think if you play on the easier difficulty settings the computer will research slower etc.
