I love this game but theres one VERY important feature missing. I have gotten 5 people not including myself to buy Rise of Nations and its very important to all of us that a save feature for multiplayer games be implimented. Empire Earth had a save feature and we played it for over 1 year......until Rise of Nations came out but we sometimes have battles (Especially in World War 1) that last for over 6 hours. If we have been fighitng for over 6 hours we obviously don't all want to exit and lose everything we built but we get very tired of fighitng wars that long and want to save and play again another time. SO PLEASE PUT A SAVE FEATURE FOR MULTIPLAYER!!!!! If you do I will get those same 5 people to buy your next RTS game thats a promise.

It's awesome how much dedication these guys are putting into this game even after it's release. I see them posting on forums and actually responding to people's concerns. It's just kind of odd that fairly standard features like these weren't already implemented before release...

Most of the work on MP saving is done. It won't make patch 2 since it'll require a lot of testing and we hope to get patch 2 tested and out within 7-10 days. I would expect it in patch 3 barring some major problem.
Hope this helps,
J

they distribute a game nearly unplayable due to bugs.. game gets decently playable at around 1.04.. and they just keep on going, adding new futures etc etc
but yeah BHG is doing a GREAT job so far

Well, I'm happy to hear that Big Huge is active on the forum and taking steps to improve the game. And it's great to hear that they're going to improve multiplay aspects.
However, my system isn't that old or outdated. Windows Me, 1.2 gig amd processor, and while the game play is great, the game stutters and the frame rate drags, and sometimes I can't even load my saved games.
Now, I just don't see why a game with this sort of graphics and game play should act this way. I didn't have a problem with Generals, Warcraft3, AOM, Freelancer, Mechwarriar, etc.
And yes, I've updated everything that can possibly be updated.
So please, Big Huge. You've got a great game here, I hope you take some steps in the forth-coming patches to bring the single player aspects of the game up to an enjoyable level. I know putting out a game often involves a lot of extra work and such. But honestly, if I'd known the game had this many problems, I'd have never bought it. That's a shame in a lot of ways, because I loved the Civ games, and AOE.
Hope you guys have the time and resources to make this one run as good as it plays.
thanks
