I noticed that those three aforementioned units don't get a graphics upgrade as time progresses. My question is: is this supposed to happen?

They should be. By the modern age, caravans and supply wagons should be vehicles, and civilians should be cutting wood with chain saws. -

Same Problem here. The game doesn`t upgrade the models for the generals, supplywaggons, caravans, fisherboats and citizens, but it does upgrade their sounds and values. And all other units are upgrded fine.
System: 1.4 GHz P4, Asus V8200 Deluxe GeForce 3, 128MB Ram
Game: german version without the Gamespy patchComment

This thread is rise2.ini tweak advice from Paul "gamegeek" Stephanous, Producer/BHG. Since he is with BHG, the information in his post should be reliable.
