  • Effectiveness of SAM's?

Just learning here, but whats up with SAM's?

I had 15 surrounding my Capital and the enemy kept using a Stealth looking Bomber, is it impervious to my defenses?

Just trying to learn is all!

    Peace

stealth bombers sole purpose is to get past SAMs.

fighters still work, to a degree.

edit: it's an end game tech. it's supposed to be omnipotent.

It seems to be a favorite AI endgame strategy when it can win on Wonder Points by eliminating the Wonders of another civ. I've seen the AI send dozens of stealth bombers to my highest values Wonder. The first time caught me off gurad, but now I make a point of keeping a strip of land just wide enough for an airfield near my Wonders. Then in the late stages of the game cram them with fighters and make certain I'm at the top of the fighters upgrades.
