There are options to play as an offensive, defense, or economic nation. Is there an official list of which nations go in each category?

It's in the mini-strategy guide, but I don't have it with me. Maybe someone who has it can look it up for you and post it? You get the mini-guide if you buy the game at EB, at least that's true where I live (Maryland).Firaxis - please make an updated version of Colonization! That game was the best, even if it was a little un-PC.

Well it seems pretty obvious when you think about it. Romans would be defencive because they get cheaper towers. Aztecs are offencive because they get resourese from killing enemies. Koreans are economic because they get extra citizens."I just nuked some poor bastard still in the Enlightenment age. that radioactive mushroom cloud sure enlightened his ass."

From the mini strategy guide:
Offensive: Aztecs, Bantu, French, Germans, Japanese, Mongols, Romans, Turks
Defensive: Chinese, Koreans, Maya, Russians
Economic: British, Chinese, Koreans, Germans, Inca, Nubians, Greeks, Egyptians, Spanish
Chinese, Germans, and Koreans fall into two categories each, every one else is in just one category.Firaxis - please make an updated version of Colonization! That game was the best, even if it was a little un-PC.
