Hi fellas, I'm a newcomer.

My top 5 "need a change" units would be these...

1)Egyptian Arquebusiers look like conquistadors, and musketeers look like prussians. They should have dun-white or sandy uniforms and perhaps head-wraps or fez's (a la Khartoum w/ Charlton Heston).

2)Egyptian Horsemen of the powder and enlightenment age look way too European.

3)Aztecs musketeers should have powder blue or white uniforms like Santa Anna's army.

4)Early units for many civ's look greek. Only greeks had hoplites and javelineers as far as I know.

5)Dragoons for Inca and Egypt, that I know of so far, look like british redcoats. Changes needed.

Okay, I lied. I thought of a number 6 and 7...

6)Crossbowmen look british for many races. I am looking for some examples to post for any modders.

7)Cataphracts were definitely not used by so many races. There were psiloi, fatmid, tartars, alans, visigoths and many more. I'm looking for pictures of this too.

well many civs had javelineer...but ya only greeks should have hoplites, (although the very early romans had hoplites as well, and also the egyptians after they were taken over by the Macedonians but then thats cause they were helenized).

i was trying to make it so that only greeks get hoplites, and then rename the other civs to get "spearmen" and then mod a new skin for that but the game so far from my initial attempts has complained when i try to "add" a new unit.

ive started a thread like this on RoNH to collect ideas and suggestions for unit skin/model nitpicks and additions....

Russians need the Oprichniki for Gunpowder age, they could do some sort of terror induced effect, like causing attrition damage to units that fight them or some stat reduction.
