Thanks for telling me Circuit City got it. Just picked mine up in Madison WI. I checked with EB not released until tomorrow and software etc didn't even have it yet. I am so suprise circuit city had it but I am sure a store like circuit city since the main part of there sales does not happen to be computer games even check the release date. they probably just put it out soon as they get it. they must have sent the software out days ago in order for circuit city to have it. I actually told the guy after I bought it that it wasn't suppose to be release until tomorrow and he just said oh really I better get a copy now then. Thanks again.

Unfortunately there is no Circuit City near here. I think Circuit City and Chili's are about the only major chain of anything that is missing from Howard County, Maryland. Oh well - the demo is keeping me plenty busy for now.

Funny you should say that. I actually journeyed to the EB in Laurel a year and a half ago to get Civ 3 a couple days before it was supposed to be released. Maybe I should call there, or call the CC you mentioned (the one near "Insecurity" Square Mall, right?)
and yes, the one by Insecurity - heheh

I tried Staples, Target, CompUsa, and Best Buy (the ones in Columbia) again today - no luck. I called EB in Laurel and they said not until tomorrow. At this point I'd rather wait until tomorrow and play the demo in the meantime then venture to Woodlawn.Firaxis - please make an updated version of Colonization! That game was the best, even if it was a little un-PC.

Went to Best Buy and Gamestop, and they didn't have it.
But I did pick it up at CC. And its a good thing CC decided to release it early (probably unintentionally, since they seem to care very little about their PC game section), because I'd usually never shop there.
So, IN YOUR FACE WITH THIS BS ALL YOU OTHER RETAILERS.
Competition is supposed to be beneficial to the consumer, but this witholding of games thing just proves there are too many people vying for control of the game distribution sector.
