  • it sucks

always leads to a blue screen with dump of physical memory, and 3d graphics are incomplete with blue squares on them!

just kidding im not really judging the game on this

one thought from my exposure to the game, it would have been nice if the cities had the buildings a little smaller and a little more of them, so they look more like cities. the number of buildings that works in a small civilization graphic doesnt look right in a large 3d graphic.

for those who've played it through: do you think a civilization 4 can learn anything from this game?

Civ's main problem IMO is it's horrible military system.
Early battles are very unpredictable, because the outcome isn't determined by unit strength, but by randomness.
I would still be playing Civ3, if they'd use a different military system, to make early fighting at least somewhat predictable.
I want to know that if I'm using a swordsmen to attack a spearman who's standing on a grassland road outside my city, that I'm going to win. This often does not happen. There are many examples like that.

Other than that, Civ4 couldn't take much from RoN without making it realtime

You know if somebody properly steals Call to Power 2's army-stack combat technique and some actual replay value... you will have a badass game!
