In the demo at least.
I was playing the demo last night. Quick Battle. Me - Egyptians. Computer - Random (British). Map - Don't remember the name, something about the jungle.
So, we were battling nicely for some cities, and then we both developed nuclear technology. (Modern Age) They nuked the living daylight out of me, and I nuked the same out of them. The battles then halted, and I thought that was it, because I didn't have any more troops to speak of, and the brits, I thought, didn't have any either. Then, all of a sudden, they jumped to Information age, and I realized something was terribly wrong. So, I figured the game was lost (I didn't have any more oil-harvesting power to speak of...) and tried to force an Armageddon loss for both of us. There were two nukes left till the end. So, I scraped my oil reserves, and sent the nuke straight into London. As the nuke hit the grounnd, the BSOD appeared and in an instant the comp went off.
So, as a summary: I was in Modern age, they were in Information age.
Also, something that might be important: I usually sent nukes by scrolling the large map view and clicking on the ground. But this time around, I clicked straight on the minimap for "bomb ground" and then clicked it again to center the view on the spot. The buildings that were supposed to be hit by the explosion were: the pyramids (I destroyed their terra cotta army in the previous launch, btw), the air base, the London city building, and some other stuff, which I didn't have time to see, as the computer shut off.
That's about all the details I remember. Hope that helps to hunt that nasty bug down (unless it is fixed in the final version, that is).
