  • One thing from MoO3 I want in EVERY game I buy from now on.

Perhaps it is just my cramped schedule, but from here on, I want EVERY game I ever buy to come with an alarm clock.

This silly little feature has allowed me to become more involved in the game simply for the fact that I am no longer forced to look at the clock every 5 minutes to make sure I am not late leaving for work, appointments, etc.

As a result, for the first time in any game, I can sit down and concentrate fully on PLAYING and no longer worry when I need to leave. I have noticed that the time now flies by as well since I am not concerned with what time it is.

Yes, there are some faults in the game, but this is the one thing I want EVERY game from here on to include as a feature. Surely that can't be too much to ask?

I always change the turn display so that it shows the time. And I'm still late for work.

I just set my actual alarm clock whenever I sit down to play involved games. Et voila.

It doesn't work for me -- I always end up turning the alarm off and keep playing.

At least until my wife comes around and slap me in the head.

That would wake up the children, and hence the house, and lead to MY wife slapping me upside the head...

As I said, I have an odd schedule and normally play late night/early morning VERY quietly carefull not to wake anyone.

Be careful, it can happen to anyone. At least when they're older you can get a good LAN game going.

The alarmclock has proved useful to me too a couple of times. Its something we've wanted in TBS's for a long time and I'm glad someone finally put one in. I can remember it being on the Civ 3 wishlist for years

It is a great feature along with the in game clock. It helps me to remember to eat dinner.

Oh, it would be extremely surprising and unlikely to see me end up with a wife and kids, trust me.
