The game speed

I am playing the game for a third time and again after the turn 300 the turn pass get toooooo slow...nearly 5 minutes to a turn pass...i am playing in the impossible level at a huge galaxy with 16 players...and have a Pentium III with 128 MB ram and 450 Hz...the nothing that i can do...when the game gets great it gets slow...please help

I've got the same specs with more RAM. I made it to turn 400 before it started slowing down tremendously. This is on a medium two arm spiral v. four opponents on easy.

I saw times of 60-80 seconds on a 2 arm map with 4 players out to turn 500+. I have 512MB on AMD 1.6GH.
Funny thing is it took that ime after I got them down to one system.

Like i said in the general forum, i upgraded my memory from 128 to 256 and it was a vast improvement. The thing is, with huge games in huge galaxies with lots of opponents, the computer will take some time to calculate everything, especially with low system specs like ours. You just have to be patient or get a new computer
