  • Senate win???

Not sure if this is a bug or has been talked about yet.

I start a new game, customize my race, and set up the game. I click off on win by 5x's, and senate vote. But yet their is still a senate and they vote for new leader or whatever. So far no one else has won over the new orions. Why is there still a vote and possibility of winning due to senate vote if i have them clicked off?

The Senate is present in all games, it is not influenced by the victory conditions.

Just there is no victory if you are declared President.
In my current Game I have been declared President of the Senate between turn 130-150, but because I have turned Senate Victory off I am still in the game and try to find the 5X

The senate is there even if you choose not to win by the senate vote. The senate is mainly for diplomatic and political functions. Sad to say, being the President doesn't give you the access to new bills.

There seems to be a slight problem with AI concerning how Senate voting are handled. I've noticed couple of times that my game ends up when New Orions decide to vote AGAINST them in the precidency elections. That's really wierd, otherwise they seem to favor themselves always (of course...).

I found the senate wierd in general.

For example, you don't have to follow most bills and the other members don't seem to care. Why have these bills in then?

You lose major diplomacy if you don't go along and if you do it enough the Antarans will come out en masse to rout you.
