Why dont I get the tech I traded

I may be missing something here.

Im on my second game (on easy) and each time Ive met the Nommo and they love to trade techs with me. Often giving me 3 techs for 1.

But often the tech they gave me still exists in the list of tech they have and I dont have.

Why?

Does this mean I dont have the tech?

Did you check your tech list the next turn or the same turn?

It won't show up until the next turn.

Check your Sitrep the next turn. Those tech should be listed on the Sitrep.
