Awww, that will be so cute, especially since by that point we PC owners will be opening up GalCiv.

Never player any of the MOO games. I was mildly interested in MOO3, and was following at large its development, but then the game was released and... now I don't want to touch it even with a ten-foot pole.
I watched you fall. I think I pushed.

waiting ... never could have imagined that

I really loved MOO2. It still is the game I've spent most hours playing. When civ3 was released I stopped playing moo2 and was looking heavily forward to moo3.

I haven't followed all discussions here yet, but I've read some real negative reviews about the game.

As I recently don't have many time left for long games -especially not new ones - I'll not buy it for the time being, untill good analysis confirms that if you loved moo2, you MUST have this too ... Then I'll probably get addicted... if gameplay is good, anyway.

        Anyone out there to confirm?

I never liked MOOI, never bought MOOII because I didn't like the first one, and have no intention of ever purchasing MOOIII.

Although I will say the bad reviews for MOOIII have piqued my interest in the possibility of picking up MOOII if I get the chance.

I never played a game of MOO (any version) so I wasn't looking forward to buying the game. But then, I saw it in the store and it was like "gee, I haven't bought a game in awhile" so I almost bought it. I decided to wait, came here to see what was going on, was horrified at the posts and reviews, and finally decided not to buy it.
Same here. I used to just buy whatever I fancied at the time. Now I know I'm helping companies that make/produce/market bad games and this only moves the cycle along so that even more bad games can be sold; I am now ashamed of myself for doing so in the past.

If reviews get 100% better after some major patching; and it's on sale....then maybe. But not more than $20 will I spend.

Got Space Empire 4 Gold instead

I was really getting psyched for MOO3 and had it on my holiday wish list. I got Space Empires 4 Gold to console myself. Now I am quite happy with that one. MOO3 sounds like a drag. I will not get it unless it is patched and patched well.

                  SE IV G to "console"???
I had it for PC about couple weeks ago.
We might end to meet in MP there too, sometimes in the future, if there's any hope for platform file format compatibility...

                    lol.. nice misunderstanding there hehe...

I think he was talking about console, as in consolation. Making you feel better while you are mourning a loss.

                    Not something like PS2

I would highly recommend Medieval: Total War. GREAT game

As for MOO3, I really wanted to buy it. I read all of the crappy reviews..... and went ahead and bought it anyway, brand new on eBay for $20.
