  • Moo2 Mod for Moo3 v0.1 Released

    Hi,

Well I decided to release it, if it makes some people angry I'll have to remove it

This Mod adds 2 new backgrounds, a few sounds, a new cursor and a new background music.
All these elements come from Master of Orion 2 : Battle At Antares.
This is v0.1, I'll add more stuff later !

Make sure to read the instructions, you'll have to *overwrite* at least one file (a backup file is included)

I'll probably need another place for hosting, I'll edit this message when I get a new download link.

    DOWNLOAD THE MOD

Mirror : Thanks to Peppe !

    SIZE : 5,4 MB !

Readme File: (included in the archive)

If you miss Master of Orion II while playing MOO3, this mod is for you.
Music, sounds, and graphics from Master of Orion II : Battle At Antares.
Much more to come ! This is only version 0.1 !

    (MUSIC)
    - UI Background Music from Moo2

    (SOUND)
    - 2 UI sounds from Moo2
    - Replaced some annoying UI sounds by silence

    - Cursor from Moo2
    - Original MOO3 cursor included if you want to switch back to the original one.

    INSTALL
    ------------
Extract the zip file to your Master of Orion folder.

    ** IMPORTANT

** You'll need to OVERWRITE the file Nav_Arr.cur
** The original Moo3 cursor is included in the archive

** If you copied the Music files from your Moo3 CD, you'll also need to OVERWRITE UINavigation.aif

    UNINSTALL
    -----------
    Just delete the following files:

I am amazed at all the people that are willing and able to make these types of changes. Go for it.

      Very nice... thanks
I really loved the backround music of MOO2 and I will surely use it.. I played just it on Winamp and it sounded good except just a little fuzzy in the deeper bass spots. Was it re-recorded by you in a new file format ? Maybe bass setting ?
Anyway thanks again and looking forward to all you Modders

well I extracted the music directly from the moo2 datafiles but I had to convert it from 8bits to 16 bits to make it work in moo3

t's my first time working with sounds so I don't know if there would be a way to get a better quality

        have a nice game
