Now I know its not a big secret or anything, but lately Ive been using the keyboard commands in combat to zoom in/out and rotate the map. Before that I was using the mouse and it seems like the mousewheel only zoomed in and out min or max with nothing in between. Using the keyboard I can zoom in more precisley and actually see my ships a little better while still having an idea of what is happening in the battle. This gives me a small degree more satisfaction although its not exactly an eye opener or anything lol.
Trust me im not a big graphics buff but last I saw the stuff in moo3 was perhaps during my old nintendo 8bit days. Anyway I found using the keyboard to view space combats a little better than just using the mouse so might want to look into that if u havent bothered with it. You can also get a top down view looks a bit more interesting.
