  • MOO3 Democracy game?

And of course we should ask if anyone is interested in doing one of these?

I've played in a few as a minor player, but I love the backstory (much more than the game) and would be willing to help set this up...

I think it is where you vote on what your next move is, but I am only guessing.

Yes. There's a couple ways to do it.

But on further play, I wonder if it would just be fun to do a roleplay in here.

Demogames are great ways for the strategy forum phobic to learn from each other. I'd be interested, but I want to play the game on my own first - once I finally get it, that is.

OK, here is the plan. I am going to open it up to several players to roleplay a game of MOO3 without the "game." I will GM (with others if we get any interest). I will play the Humans.

I am inviting others to come be factions within my Empire. Since we are a Republic, many important decisions will have to be debated in the Senate (no doubt dominated by individual families or corporations). Alternatively, you can make your own races, as per a game of MOO3.

About once a week your race will have a turn. It will have an event that will happen that you will need to set policy for, and you can report your policies to the GMs for consideration.

A galactic report will be given that will report the happenings in the galaxy.

All races will start in the Senate (unless you explicitly do not want to), and the first turn should reflect your race's attitudes toward the recent reprisals of the New Orions against those races which opposed them in Senate.

Your race will have several variables that will increase or decrease as you make policies. You have positive modifiers for fine roleplay and negative ones for terse play.

There will be more details forthcoming, but I would like to gauge response to this idea.

I was planning to get a cooperative story happening once i get use to the game...

doing something like i did with the Civ3 Apolyton Empire with Moo3 would be fun

but i rather wait until the patch arrives before i start anything........
