  • ECM on Picket Ships

O.k. we all know that ECM jams the enemy Targeting.

But I have one important Question, maybe one of you could answer it:

Is it necessary for the targetted Ship to have ECM or is it enough if my Picket Ships possess ECM capabilities.

Lets assume for example I have a Carrier Group with one Carrier (without ECM) surrounded by several Picket Ships with ECM-Capabilities
The enemy targets my Carrier, will his targetting be jammed by my Picket Ships or not?

Actually ECM improves your targeting and increases your visual range. Its ECCM that reduces the enemy's. Right?
By working faithfully eight hours a day, you may get to be a boss and work twelve hours a day.

      ECM: Electronic Countermeasures
      ECCM:Electronoic Counter-Countermeasures

ECM jams the targeting, ECCM counters and bypasses the ECM.

It would be nice to know, but like many (way to many if you ask me) other things in this game you will just have to guess =(

If autobuilding can be used as a measure, then no. I believe that having ECM on your picket ships works for the whole fleet.

IMO: me thinks, that the tech tree will tell us ...I mean if they have a device like in moo2 that has wide area effect ecm..then the pickets ships would just be for themselves..?

I think the art of task force design is a bery cool NEW part of the moo trilogy.
