  • Getting into the senate

    How does one do this

I've been great friends with the evon for a hundred turns or so, and they've been in the senate since the begining. There has never been any option to ask them to let me into the senate.

I finnally met the new orions, and checked with them as well. Doesn't seem to be anything.

Does one have to have an alliance or something for this option to appear? Or is there simply not such an option.

Similar problem in my games where I didn't start in the senate. Haven't yet found a way to get in.

Same here. I have had contact with the New Orions for 150+ turns, but they don't seem to want anything to do with me, all my diplomatic advances are rebuffed. Not sure if this is the way it's supposed to be or not, given the scanty nature of the anemic manual.

no, members can vote others in, but i havent seen the AI do it to others.

i know I voted in one of my freinds, but that took a long time (they kept not-seconding it)

also, i got expelled from the senate by vote, but then i went apesh!t with my nukes and chemical weapons.

          serves them right.
