heh, it's just a PR gag, he never edited the message. If he had, it would show the edit timestamp in the lower right corner.
If you edit it soon enough after you posted it it won't show any timestamp

Boy, I sure hope this game's gameplay is better than its PR.
I still don't get why anyone should try to cover up a possible TV coverage. Isn't the point of advertisement to expose the game as much as possible?
You're leaving out the possibility that hinting at there being a TV appearence and then appearing to hide the fact IS the PR (and seemingly not so bad at that if it's causing more stir and talk about the game on other sites...). Afterall, the Star Wars' prequels best PR wasn't that they were publicizing things, it was that they were hiding them... I just hope Moo3 isn't the disappointment those prequels have been
That said, this type of gimmic on the Moo3 forum on Apolyton boards doesn't get anyone beyond those of us already dedicated to buying the game to notice
So yeah, it's pretty pointless and I wonder what on earth those PR are thinking...

It's a little payback for all the release date threads and other kuck they have to clean up on IGMOO. I'm hoping for a Super Bowl commercial with a gasbag doing the pitch.

Well, we have to, he has one year of MOO3 experience under his belt. He'll get his gang of evil Beta Testers and scour the galaxy, beating up every newbie they can get their hands on.
No PR stunt, we had confirmation that MOO was going to be featured on a TV show. I posted that, walked down the hall, got a cup of coffee and mentioned that I had posted it to which I was informed I couldn't do that because the day that MOO3 was featured had been changed. Rushed in to delete the thread I started and lo I could not, hence the firestorm. No PR stunt, just me trying to let people know about stuff without getting the ok first. Bad Rantz!
and in regards to MP, you will all kick my butt all over the galaxy I have no doubt. I suck at MP. I refuse to play Xentax, C Kane or the other Beta folks in MP because it's humiliating enough being pummled by the artists in MP games. I tend to do the 'Han Solo' method of galaxy conquest, jump into the fray with impossible odds against you screaming like a banshee.
In practical use, it really is NOT an effective strategy...

Amusing sig material, thank you. On-topic, are you allowed to give us ANY clues about the TV spot? Commercial? CNN blurb? Discovery Channel? TechTV? Al-Jeezer? G.H.S. Student Newspaper? ANYTHING?!
The cake is NOT a lie. It's so delicious and moist.
The Weighted Companion Cube is cheating on you, that slut.

My bet would be something on G4. The Video game channel on Digital/Satellite T.V. Either one of those between shows demoes, or maybe on the news show.

Hehehe I'm familiar with the strategy (a large part of my own), but I have never heard it put so simply
True, it isn't always so effective, one of the reasons I intend to stick with being beaten senseless by the computer
I love playing multiplayer Moo2 with my friends... I normally kick their lousy hind quarters

Ok, well it ran yesterday, there was an article on CNN on MOOIII that was pretty positive, didn't get confirmation in time to let everyone know ahead of time. Sorry about that!
