That the combined results of diverse adjustments are at first unclear is exactly as it should have been. The fun is in figuring that out. Obviously Emrich understood this, and some of the dumber playtesters didn´t...

Personally, I think that: Ship refitting & upgrading
(and subsequently experienced crews) is one of the major changes that would have been interesting as well would have been Mine Fields and the advanced social sliders!; but some small things should have been kept as well, if only to give the player the illusion of something that is his own: Ability to rename systems, Ability to choose empire color,
choosing ship apperance-->Visit CGN!
