Hm, that's a bit like complaining about red being the dominant color in SMAC. Anyway, it's a bit late for a change... unless of course you'd like another delay.

I like the color scheme. A strategy game shouldn't be about the graphics anyway, though they are nice. I just want solid gameplay.

It seems that MoO3 is extremely close to completion qouting gamespot

"Our preview build was accompanied by a final manual and the official strategy guide, which has already been released. Even the second play disc looked to be from a final, mass-production run. Only the install disc betrayed the game's still-beta status, as Quicksilver is still making some tweaks to the game's multiplayer stability. The single-player matches we tried out proved to be perfectly stable and reasonably polished"

              seems preety close to me

Check out that link -- look at some diplomacy options, "Conditional Surrender," and "Unconditional Surrender."

Think people would be able to actually lose a war and get taken over and then eventually lead some sort of rebellion to be a free Empire again?

I think a conditional surrender would be a surrender under set conditions - like giving up some of your fleet and planetse and making peace with them for however long. An unconditional surrender would be so that they would simply let you continue to exist and they would do whatever they pleased with your empire.

Fiefdoms are out for sure. Sucks doesn`t it?

Boy, that sure sounds stupid. I hope this guys build just had a bug or something.

True, but, as most of the graphics are pretty simplistic, they could have given us some choice of color schemes. I would have preferred grey tones, for example, instead of the blue. Should not have been too hard to implement.

The game is too blue the box is too red. Go figure.

id rather that the color sceme reflect your player color, i.e., you are playing green so your screens are green, you are purple your screens are purple, ect ect...

Oh, so you know exactly how thier UI engine was built? How the graphics were constructed?

And what colors do you suggest for a space strategy game? Pink? Purple? How about chartruese?
                            Those are pretty lively.

And as for your choice of gray tones-- I think they are using gray to indicated DISABLED buttons/options as do most people when designing user interfaces.

I find it really funny when people say "oh it shouldn't be THAT hard to do..." not knowing anything about programming, design project management or software engineering in general.

                            Those who cannot do, complain.

Um. Changing the color in the UI would NOT be hard. Come on. Change the color from 0.0, 0.1, 0.7 (which is a kinda pale blue with a little green) to anything else. Unless they're loading a texture, in which case it would be a simple matter to just provide other ui textures.

Its possible, however, that the option to change the ui color is there, and just no one has mentioned it yet.
