  • Tell me about MOO3

I've never played MOO or MOO2 and I'm wondering about MOO3. Is it just civ in the stars or is there really a difference. If so what are the important differences for you? I could read game reviews of course, but they dont tell the real story.

    Hi,

The basic of the game is the same as in CIV. You explore the space, expand your territory and have diplomatic relations with your neighbours. However, MOOs have always been deeper:

    - Greater tech tree
    - Deeper Diplomacy
    - Better Intelligence (spies)
    - Most important: much better combat system
    - Ships that you can design yourself.

I like CIV's games, but i would love to see them as good and deep as the MOO's games.

from what i've seen, the races in MOO are different from each other, unlike civ. And civ3's UU don't count
