  • Worth the wait! I hope!

Well, long time listener, first time caller (usually hang out in that Madhouse, the Civ3 general forum)

Well, this game is already a little late in coming out, but you know what, thank god! I loved MOO, and I loved MOO2 even more, specially after the patches made it more challenging (what, I don't always go first in battle! What, no more 99 Plasma beams!) and the more I read about MOO3, the more I want this game, more than I wanted Civ3. It seems that since the folk at infogrames knew that MOO3 would have an inherently smaller audience (since we all know the MOO line was never anywhere as big as the Civ line, specially with an abbriviation like moo) they have given the team time to come up with quality before realising it.

I really look forward to this game, even though I know it will suck more valuable time that sometimes I really should not spare!

Can anyone say, "Possible sleeper hit?"

I think- perhaps- there will even be a migration of many CIV fans to MOO if MOO3 is good.

I mean.. just go to the CivIII forums to witness my point.

As a dedicated Moo3 fan, the more converts the better I say.

What's the latest guess on release date?

2nd Qtr is the most accurate I can give. Means between 1 April and 30 June.

I'd split the difference and guess May.

But May is like, far away and stuff. That's not fair.

I'm another Civ III fan that was a bit disappointed. So I've been checking out all the MoO III stuff, and I'm hooked on this game now, even though it's not even out yet.

...need to get a copy of MoO II... that works...

Perhaps June is a better bet? The real question is: how far can Infogrames extend the deadline for a better game ( and a better success ): next fall?
